Officer Travis Munday of Yavapai Community College dropped off boxes of supplies at Verde Valley Medical Center from the college’s nursing program, which has been paused due to COVID-19 closures.
The boxes included stethoscopes, hand sanitizer, gowns, gloves, masks and other assorted personal protective equipment.
Neil Walters of VVMC Supply Chain Management said it was a much-welcomed gift.
“Every hospital in the country is scrambling for supplies so every little bit helps,” Walters said. “It’s wonderful to be in a community that looks out for us and responds when we are in need.”
