Helping people survive and thrive

While most hospitals offer emergency services, only designated trauma centers have the expertise to care for patients with life-threatening injuries.

Boosting survival rates with rapid care

The most critical service we provide is to treat you and your loved ones within “the golden hour” after a traumatic injury occurs.

According to one study, the overall risk of death was 25 percent lower* when patients received care at a trauma center compared to a non–trauma center.

As the only Level I Trauma Center for more than 100 miles in any direction, Flagstaff Medical Center is Northern Arizona’s source for lifesaving care; directly reducing the number of deaths from traumatic injury in our community.
