Larry Kushner, Chief Philanthropy Officer – Northern Arizona Healthcare

Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation recently presented a $5000 grant to Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) Inspire, a service of Children’s Health Center. Inspire helps kids and their families learn about healthier ways to live. Our program is designed to motivate kids and educate families on developing and maintaining healthy habits. The Inspire clinic team provides one-on-one education and support in making small, healthy changes to last a lifetime. Through consistent, flexible appointments with each practitioner, families learn how to improve their health and receive support in making goals for change.

“NAH is so thrilled that Inspire was chosen as a recipient of this generous grant from Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation,” said NAH’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, Larry Kushner. “We here at NAH feel so honored when our local community lends a helping hand to important causes, this grant will help children and adolescents develop healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices which will bring long-term benefits to them.

From L. to R.: Jazz hands! Leandra Marris and Mike Hagen from Sprouts Farmers Market; NAH’s Chief Philanthropy Officer Larry Kushner; Keith Garrison and Hiliary Howdeshell of NAH’s Children’s Health Center INSPIRE program received a generous $5,000 donation from Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation.

The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is improving school garden learning, nutrition education, and expanding equitable access to food with grants to nonprofit organizations. Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has granted $15M to more than 300 nonprofit partners which have brought hands-on, garden-based learning to 1.5 million children and provided nutrition education programs to an estimated 900,000 K-12 students. Sprouts Farmers Market covers all the Foundation’s operational expenses, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly to programming.
