Roberta Funck, PA-C, MHS, is a certified physician assistant with Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Verde Valley Medical Clinic – Endocrinology. Roberta specializes in treating thyroid disorders and type 2 diabetes. She has been a PA for more than 20 years, working in a variety of clinical settings including hematology/oncology, occupational health and primary care. Roberta is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and state licensed to practice medicine. In addition, she is an avid meditator and a certified yoga instructor.
Q: What was your motivation for practicing medicine?
A: I wanted a career where I could help people.
Q: What are your clinical strengths – your strongest clinical areas?
A: My clinical strengths include professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and perseverance, continuously improving knowledge and clinical practice, and a genuine concern for the welfare of patients and staff.
Q: What do patients tell you they appreciate about you?
A: They tell me that I am personable, that I listen well, have a good “bedside manner,” and that I am easy to talk to. They have also commented on my diligence in getting tasks done for them.
