Medical and dental insurance is provided through NAH.
Educational resources
Residents receive the newest edition of “MKSAP,” the newest edition of the “Sanford Guide to Microbial Therapy” and 24/7 access to MWU’s electronic library.
Paid time off
Residents have an allotted 20 PTO days per academic year, with 5 of those days specifically for wellbeing to include; medical health and dental care appointments that can be scheduled during work hours. The 15 remaining days can be used for vacation and other personal health days.
Meals
One meal per shift is provided to the resident in the physician lounge. Residents also receive a discount in the cafeteria and in Code Bean, our gift shop, which offer Starbucks and cafe items.
Uniforms
Residents receive an annual stipend to purchase white coats each year. Laundry services for resident lab coats are provided weekly at no cost to the resident.
Educational stipend
Residents receive an annual stipend for educational purposes. This money can be used to purchase books, question banks, laptops, iPads, and other educational items.
Examinations
The program pays for COMLEX Step III or the USMLE Step 3 and a Board Review Course in the third year of residency. The program also pays for ACLS/BLS recertification, which is taken during the week of orientation and then again in the third year of residency.

Each resident is provided with an iPhone.
Parking
Parking is free and unlimited in employee parking lots.
