Professional Bio
Matthew Dawson, P.T., D.P.T., is a physical therapist in the EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine department of Northern Arizona Healthcare. He is located at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood.
Expertise and Special Interests
Matthew has expertise in a variety of manual therapy techniques, including special training in dry needling. He believes in the healing power of exercise, and equates movement with freedom. He is an avid mountain biker and rock climber who also practices strength training and martial arts.
Education and Certifications
Matthew earned a doctoral degree in physical therapy, as well as a bachelor’s of science in public health, from Northern Arizona University.
Philosophy
Matthew is inspired by the strength of the human spirit. He believes it is important to take time to understand and empathize with his patients’ challenges; and to listen; not just hear. He became a physical therapist to help patients improve their mobility and get back to what they love to do.
