Bio

Liz Gobble, MD, MSHP, is a board-certified neonatologist at Northern Arizona Healthcare, where she serves as pediatric chair of Flagstaff Medical Center’s (FMC) Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Gobble joined FMC in 2024, and her clinical interests include optimizing the care of fragile infants, translating evidence-based practice into clinical guidelines, encouraging family participation in the unit and reducing morbidities, such as chronic lung disease of prematurity.

 

Dr. Gobble earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, after which she completed her pediatric residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. She then moved to Philadelphia to complete her neonatal-perinatal fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which is recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the country. While in Philadelphia, Dr. Gobble earned a master’s degree in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania. She published and presented on several topics, including the family experience in the NICU as well as health care utilization of preterm infants after discharge. Following her fellowship, she practiced at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
