Larry Kushner
Bio
Larry Kushner joined Northern Arizona Healthcare as the chief philanthropy officer in May 2021. He oversees the new Office of Philanthropy department and leads a dynamic team to raise funding and donations needed to help enhance and expand health care services for the northern Arizona communities. In addition, his responsibilities include executive oversight for volunteer services, spiritual care and the Taylor House.
Larry comes to NAH with over three decades in the field of philanthropy. Previously he served at the University of Maryland, Baltimore as associate vice president for the Office of Philanthropy department. He was responsible for creating multiple partnerships with community stakeholders and helped secure multimillion-dollar donations to fund key university programs and initiatives while helping to lead an ambitious $750 million dollar fundraising campaign.
Prior to his role at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Larry held several executive positions at health care organizations including serving as the vice president of philanthropy at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore and the director of advancement at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation. Larry’s expertise in philanthropic development, together with an excellent team he has assembled, will help NAH’s goal to meet the growing needs of our region. This includes, but is not limited to, a focus on the Health & Wellness Village and the full spectrum of health care services and programs which are vital to the communities we are proud to serve.
Larry earned his bachelor’s degree in health care administration and graduated cum laude from Towson University in Towson, Md.
