
John Schor, MD, STS, SVS
Bio
John Schor, MD, STS, SVS, is a board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon at Northern Arizona Healthcare, where he serves as vice chief of staff on Verde Valley Medical Center’s Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Schor specializes in thoracic and vascular surgery and minimally invasive cardiothoracic procedures.
Before moving to Cottonwood, Dr. Schor spent 12 years at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, where he launched the endovascular aneurysm surgery program. Between 1995 and 2006, he performed more thoracic aneurysm surgeries than any other surgeon in South Florida. He is a published author of numerous medical articles and holds a number of awards and academic appointments.
Dr. Schor earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, where he completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
