John Mougin, MD
Professional Bio
Dr. Mougin joined NAH in 2000 as a hospitalist at Flagstaff Medical Center. He became NAH patient safety officer in 2006 and medical director of Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group – Flagstaff in 2014.
Dr. Mougin has served in various leadership roles within NAH, including chief of staff; member of the FMC Board of Directors; Internal Medicine department chief; and longtime Hospitalists director, growing the department from two physicians to more than 40 system-wide.
Dr. Mougin was selected as FMC’s Physician of the Year in 2004.
Dr. Mougin earned his medical degree from St. Louis University in St. Louis and completed his medical residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center School of Medicine in Phoenix. He received his bachelor’s degree in animal physiology from the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Mougin is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
