“I was drawn to a career in physical therapy because I really enjoy working with people and being able to help them keep mobile and live an active life.”

Care Philosophy:

Hugo was drawn to specialize in lymphedema care after his mother was diagnosed with the condition while receiving cancer treatment. He realized that there is a major need for more lymphedema therapists who care for patients with various types of lymphatic drainage concerns.

Medical Specialty:

Hugo specializes in the treatment of lymphedema, lipedema, phlebo-lymphedema, and post-surgical, radiation, thrombotic and lymphedema syndromes.

Professional Achievements:

Hugo received his Bachelor of Science in exercise science from the University at Buffalo and his Master of Science in physical therapy from D’Youville College, both in Buffalo, NY. He is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) with oncology rehabilitation experience.
