Professional Bio

Hilary M. Herman is a speech-language pathologist with a certificate of clinical competence in the EntireCare Rehab and Sports Medicine department of Northern Arizona Healthcare. She is located at Verde Valley Medical Center.

Expertise and Special Interests

Hilary specializes in working with patients to rehabilitate their communication and cognition after a stroke or traumatic brain injury. She also works with articulation and receptive and expressive language delays. She has worked in the field of speech therapy since 2014.

Education and Certification

Hilary earned a master’s in clinical speech-language pathology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where she also earned a bachelor’s in elementary education.

Philosophy

Hilary believes in providing each patient with evidence-based care tailored to his or her specific wants and needs. She also believes therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and patient. She draws from her own life experiences, both positive and negative, and works to treat every patient as if he or she were a family member.
