Bio

Brian Duggan, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Cottonwood. Dr. Duggan has been with Verde Valley Medical Center since 2011 and serves as the surgery department chair on its Medical Executive Committee. In addition to providing direct patient care, Dr. Duggan has co-authored research publications and, in 2010, he traveled to Haiti to provide orthopedic and trauma care to victims of a catastrophic earthquake.

Dr. Duggan earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he graduated with honors. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedics at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he received the Resident Research Award. Dr. Duggan also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, California.
