Alice Gagnaire, RN
Professional Bio
Alice Gagnaire, R.N., B.S.N., M.H.S.A. was elected to the Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) Board of Directors in 2013 and resides in Flagstaff.
Prior to joining the Board, Alice worked at Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) for more than 35 years, most recently as senior vice president and vice president of Patient Care Services. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in the governance of healthcare and the delivery of patient care to her new role on the Board Certifications.
She has lived with her husband Bob in Flagstaff since 1973. She has been an active member of the Flagstaff community, having served as the president of North Country HealthCare Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Cancer Society and the Community Caregiving Coalition.
She was a longtime member of Soroptimist International of Flagstaff, has been an Athena Award nominee and was named the 1999 Woman of Distinction by Soroptimist. Additionally, she served two years as the president of the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
In recognition of her years of service and dedication to the nursing profession, Northern Arizona Healthcare Education Department named its most comprehensive skills and education lab “The Alice Gagnaire Comprehensive Skills Lab.”
Alice retired from Flagstaff Medical Center in 2009. She has also been a member on the Northern Arizona Chapter of the Red Cross, NAU School of Nursing Advisory Board, Soroptimist International of Flagstaff and Assistance League of Flagstaff.
