
Alex Zilberman, MD
Bio
Alex Zilberman, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon at Northern Arizona Healthcare, where he serves as chief of staff on Verde Valley Medical Center’s Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Zilberman specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy and endoscopy. He performs intestinal, gallbladder, appendix, hernia and anorectal surgery. As a health care provider, Dr. Zilberman cares about the whole person, making it a point to actively listen to patients’ questions and concerns. He works hard to ensure patients fully understand their options while also taking their wishes into account when developing treatment plans.
Dr. Zilberman earned his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. He completed his general surgery residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Zilberman has lived and practiced in Arizona since 2003. He moved from Lake Havasu City to Cottonwood in 2019, chasing his longtime dream of living in the Verde Valley. He and his wife enjoy spending quality time with their kids in Phoenix and Albuquerque. They also love mountain biking, road biking and hiking with their goldendoodle.
