Additional Information
Northern Arizona Healthcare (“NAH”) seeks to develop a new, state-of-the-art, regional hospital and ambulatory care facility, surrounded by a Health Village designed as a location for the community to gather for a full range of medical, health and wellness services, together with a broad mix of commercial, retail, research and development, and housing opportunities. The proposed Health Village development will occur on property owned by NAH northeast of Fort Tuthill County Park, comprising approximately 172.6 +/- acres.
To obtain the development rights needed for this project, NAH has filed with the City of Flagstaff the following applications: (i) minor Regional Plan amendments, (ii) creation of a specific plan, and (iii) zoning map amendments. If approved, the applications will result in (i) minor amendments to the Flagstaff Regional Plan, (ii) adoption of a specific plan, and (iii) a zoning map amendment changing current zoning of Rural Residential (RR), Estate Residential (ER), and Single-Family Residential (R1) to Public Facilities (PF), Highway Commercial (HC), and Research & Development (RD). The details of the proposed project, as well as the proposed zoning changes, are discussed in detail in NAH’s applications filed with the City. Complete applications can be viewed or downloaded at this link: https://awdlaw267.sharefile.com/share/view/s884c80e1ef0d43b68f7877673a2749cd.
As part of the application process, NAH is hosting a neighborhood meeting to provide community members with more information about this project, and to solicit feedback from neighbors and potentially affected individuals and organizations. At the meeting, representatives from NAH will present the project in more detail and provide information on frequently asked questions. Those in attendance will have a chance to submit written questions and comments, and these will be addressed at the meeting to the greatest extent possible. Further, meeting attendees will have the opportunity to voice their concerns, questions, support and otherwise interact with NAH during the live Q&A session. Interested parties may also submit questions or comments before or after the meeting by emailing the Applicant’s representatives, Trevor Kortsen or Whitney Cunningham of Aspey, Watkins & Diesel, PLLC, at [email protected] or the City of Flagstaff Zoning Code Manager Tiffany Antol, whose email is [email protected].
