Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Allison Kirshner, FNP, has joined the NAH Medical Group (NAHMG) as a new provider at the Sedona primary care office. She is accepting patients now. NAHMG services are designed to improve health by providing individuals and their families with integrated care close to home.
“We are excited to welcome Allison to our Sedona primary care practice,” said NAHMG President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “Allison has extensive health care experience and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with patients. She is an extraordinary addition to our team in Sedona, as NAH continues to build on its commitment of giving exceptional care close to home for Verde Valley-area residents,” Dr. Bernardi added.
Kirshner, who has over 23 years of experience in health care, specializes in family medicine and internal medicine. She has 13 years of medical oncology experience and also specializes in cancer screening and prevention. She believes in empowering people to be proactive in their health choice, and that education is fundamental for longevity.
Kirshner earned her Master of Science in Nursing with certification in family practice from Idaho State University in Pocatello and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – Family Practice, a certification that prepared her to care for patients of any age throughout their lifespan. She is also board certified as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), a credential that certifies practicing in an oncology setting.
