Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Eugene Charlebois, DO, has joined the Sedona Emergency Department as lead physician.
“We are excited to have the talents of Dr. Charlebois joining the emergency department team in Sedona,” said NAH Chief Medical Officer Derek Feuquay, MD. “Dr. Charlebois previously practiced emergency medicine at Verde Valley Medical Center before moving to Virginia for the past two years. We are thrilled to welcome him back to the Verde Valley community; the addition of his skills in the Sedona Emergency Department will allow for more Sedona residents to stay close to home as they receive the very best in emergency medicine care,” Dr. Feuquay added.
Dr. Charlebois, who has over 30 years of health care experience, specializes in emergency medical care, with expertise in emergent stabilization and management of traumatic injuries, stroke, cardiac events and respiratory emergencies. He is passionate about the uniqueness of the emergency medicine field, as it allows him to see a broad variety of medical emergencies while retaining his focus upon the initial stabilization and treatment of life-threatening traumatic events and medical conditions.
Dr. Charlebois earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from California State University at Long Beach. He completed his residency at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, California. He is board certified in Family Medicine, with additional certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
