Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Algimantas “Al” Jecius, MD, has joined Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). Dr. Jecius is a general surgeon who has over 34 years’ experience in performing various surgical procedures to treat patients.
“We are honored to have the talents of Dr. Jecius joining our surgical team at VVMC in Cottonwood,” said NAH Medical Group President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “He is a trusted, talented health care provider who brings extensive expertise in surgical care. With the addition of Dr. Jecius, NAH is able to continue its mission of providing the very best in advanced surgical care for all patients in the Verde Valley,” added Dr. Bernardi.
Dr. Jecius earned his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois and his undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb. He completed his five-year surgical residency at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Jecius is board certified by the American College of Surgeons.
NAH has prioritized recruiting new providers in northern Arizona, and will continue to introduce additional providers as part of its commitment to delivering exceptional care for the communities it serves. This will ensure that residents of Verde Valley can remain in their communities to receive the best health care.
