Some patients recently received a letter from their insurer, HighMark, which is hosted by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Arizona. The letter stated Northern Arizona Healthcare was no longer participating in their medical insurance plan.
What you need to know:
- BCBS of Arizona has confirmed those letters were sent in error, and the information is incorrect.
- BCBS of Arizona and HighMark have not changed their existing coverage of providers and procedures at NAH.
- NAH providers who were “in network” earlier this year are still considered “in network” status on the same insurance plans, no changes have been made to coverage or covered providers.
Patients should expect to receive a corrected letter from HighMark confirming coverage.
