ATCN Student Provider
The Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) Course is taught concurrently with the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) for physicians. This program is presented by the Society of Trauma Nurses in cooperation with The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. This course was developed to teach established standards of trauma care and practical lifesaving skills. This course includes didactic presentations coupled with corresponding practical skill stations and moulage assessment stations which demonstrate the application of didactic information.
ATCN Student Hybrid
The Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses Hybrid Course (ATCN- H) is taught independently of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course. This program consists of online didactic module preparation and hands-on skills. This course will prepare the learner in the same manner as the ATCN 2-day provider course but is delivered in a 1-day in-person format. This course includes 13 online didactic modules (taking approximately 9 hours) preparation coupled with corresponding practical skill stations and assessment stations for didactic application.
ATCN Student Refresher
This course is designed for nurses who completed an ATCN course within the past four years and wish to reverify their ATCN. A copy of current ATCN provider card must be provided at the time of application.
ATCN Instructor Course
This two-day instructor course is designed for outstanding RN graduates of the ATCN student course. This instructor course allows the RN, who has been identified as having instructor potential to acquire and demonstrate the skills necessary to become a competent instructor in the ATCN program.
Credits
Society of Trauma Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider and Hybrid courses are given 17.5 hrs, the update course is given 7.25 hrs and the Instructor course is given 16.25 hrs.

In Flagstaff, the courses are held in the Northern Arizona Healthcare Education Department at 399 S. Malpais Ln. on the 2nd floor.
In Phoenix, courses are held at ValleyWise Health – Administration Bldg, 2601 E. Roosevelt.

Fees include manuals. Continental breakfast and lunches are provided for the 2-Day Provider course and the Instructor course.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds are available less a $225.00 administration fee for Provider and Update courses; $200 for Hybrid and Instructor Courses. No refund is issued if cancellation occurs within 14 days of the course.
