Annual Research Symposium
This all-day event, open to the community, highlights current research projects conducted by NAH colleagues and partners and features poster presentations. Remote attendance is available via Zoom teleconferencing. Contact Research@NAHealth.com for more information.
The THRIVE Workshop Series was developed in partnership with Northern Arizona University and sponsored by a grant from the Arizona Biomedical Research Commission. This series focused on all stages of research development for health-related initiatives, from seeking grant funding to disseminating research results to communities.
NAH researchers have presented findings at state and national conferences such as the National Evidence-Based Practice Conference; the American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference; the Arizona Association for Nursing Professional Development Annual Meeting; the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses Conference; and the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research Annual Conference.
Director Cindy Beckett, Ph.D., RNC-OB, LCCE, has won a March of Dimes Arizona Chapter Nurse of the Year award four times:
- 2016 – EBP & Research Award
- 2015 – Nursing Leadership Award
- 2009 – Research/Advancing the Profession Award
- 2004 – Distinguished Nurse of the Year Award
She was also awarded the 2015 Intalere Healthcare Achievement Award for Community Impact and/or Innovation.
In 2017, Cindy and Data Analyst Alejandra Figueroa won best paper in the first Evidence-Based Practice National Challenge, sponsored by the Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare.
Alejandra Figueroa placed as a finalist in the 2017 Arizona March of Dimes “Friend of Nursing” award.
