Professional Bio
Katy Wilkens, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Flagstaff Medical Center in 2015. Katy joined FMC in 2011 as the director of Critical Care and Pediatric Services.
Katy began her nursing career at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix on a fast-paced, 150-bed telemetry unit working with cardiovascular surgery patients. She expanded into cardiac rehab and care coordination, eventually becoming the night shift manager.
Katy went on to work in several Phoenix-area hospital systems. She also worked as the director of acute care nursing services for Baylor Grapevine Medical Center in Dallas. Katy is honored to lead and serve in the communities of Northern Arizona, while working side by side with nurses dedicated to providing a high level of care to all patients.
Katy earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix. In addition, Katy is a Board Certification-certified Advanced Nurse Executive.
