Helping you make it through
Northern Arizona Healthcare is committed to the well-being of our patients and their families. This includes Spiritual Care, which supports our mission to restore and maintain health and wellness in the community.
We believe the concept of total care should embrace your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Our spiritual care teams include experienced hospital chaplains and faith volunteers, each of whom respects and welcomes your spiritual beliefs.
We provide spiritual care through prayer, sacraments, intercession, advocacy – or simply by listening and being with you in your time of need.
Spiritual care can assist you and your family through every stage of illness – from a new diagnosis to end-of-life care. We can also help if you've experienced trauma, grief or feelings of hopelessness.
If you have loved ones who live far away, our chaplains work to create a bridge of communication between you.
As part of spiritual care, we make regular visits to patients and are available for emergency calls after hours. Interpreters for chaplain services may also be available in Navajo and other languages.
