Taking a multidisciplinary approach
You'll find we provide a continuum of care, starting with an expert initial consultation and continuing through diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and rehabilitation services. Our goal is to relieve your pain and help you return fully to your life.
We offer a Geriatric Fracture Service that is tailored to the aged population. Many orthopedic conditions – such as arthritis and osteoporosis – are age-related, so our team of board-certified orthopedic specialists, hospitalists, specialty trained physical therapists, nurses and case managers are all familiar with the needs of older patients and work together to help you recover as quickly and fully as possible.
Accidents, arthritis, osteoporosis and age can cause bone and joint wear and tear. Our board-certified orthopedic physicians provide surgical and nonsurgical treatments for arthritis, tendonitis, work- and sports-related injuries, back injuries or serious illness.
Nonsurgical treatments can include cortisone injections, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy and/or orthopedic braces and supports.
Joint replacement surgery
Knee and hip replacement surgery used to treat different types of osteoarthritis is one of the most commonly performed orthopedic surgeries in the world today.
Verde Valley Medical Center’s Joint Replacement Surgery program has gained national recognition as a center of excellence for its high success rate. A team of NAH professionals from Verde Valley Medical Clinic – Orthopedics and EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine work with the highly skilled nursing team at Verde Valley Medical Center from start to finish to provide a seamless experience.
Broken bones can range from common childhood mishaps to complex, life-threatening conditions.
Depending on the location and severity of the injury, nonsurgical or minimally invasive treatment options may include reduction to set the bone back into its correct position; casts, braces or splints to immobilize the bone or joint; traction to pull the bone to its proper length; or physical therapy to strengthen weakened or damaged muscles and tendons.
Sports medicine specializes in preventing and treating injuries related to participating in sports or other exercise.
Our sports medicine team includes athletic trainers, coaches, physical therapists, specialty physicians and/or surgeons. Because of the competitive nature of sports, a primary focus of sports medicine is rapid recovery so patients can return to competition.
