Verde Valley Medical Clinic’s Occupational Medicine Program welcomes you to our unique practice, which is tailored to the complex, often urgent medical needs of employers in the Verde Valley. We understand the important role you play in our communities – and we are honored to be of service to you. Our healthcare providers partner with Verde Valley Medical Center’s Emergency Departments in Cottonwood and Sedona; EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine; and other local specialty providers.

In addition to routine work-related services such as pre-employment exams, substance screenings, vaccines and lab draws, the Occupational Medicine clinic  provides evaluation and treatment of unexpected injuries that occur on the job. We take the time to learn about the particulars of each workplace to develop the best individual plans of care, and whenever safely possible, recommend light duty instead of time off.

How employers work with us

Employers agree to send their employees to the clinic when occupational medicine expertise is needed, which enables them to benefit from the lower pricing available for a number of services. For our client organizations, we also offer same-day, acute care appointments for employees and their family members. Acute care includes services for common symptoms such as those associated with cold or flu, fever, ear or body aches and minor injuries.

As soon as an employee has a work-related injury or illness, the employer calls or emails our clinic to schedule an appointment. This eliminates long wait times for the employee in a crowded room of sick people – which is most often the case in an urgent care center or emergency room.


Cost-effective services

For employers providing workers’ compensation insurance, it is more economical to use an occupational medicine office for their employees’ work-related injuries and illnesses.
