Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona purchases a new van for patient assistance program

With the help of the Northern Arizona Healthcare Foundation, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare recently purchased a new van for its Flagstaff-based patient assistance program. Many cancer patients need transportation to the facility for chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and the old van – which was not accessible to patients with disabilities – had logged more than 200,000 miles and needed frequent maintenance.

Proceeds from the November 2015 GivingTuesday campaign and the 2015 Turquoise Ball, were used to purchase the new 2016 van in order to give its patients personalized care, safety and comfort. The new van also comes fully equipped with a remote control automatic access seat to help patients with disabilities travel with ease.
