Baby Roman Dahms Esparza, son of Leticia Esparza of Rimrock, was born at 2:01 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, making him the first baby born at Verde Valley Medical Center in 2016. Baby Esparza weighs 8.4 pounds and measures 19 inches long.
Fraternal twin boys Alexander Titan Smallcanyon and Ian Tyler Smallcanyon, sons of Ashley Bia and Randall Smallcanyon, were born at 1:40 and 1:41 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, making them the first and second babies born at Flagstaff Medical Center in 2016. The babies weigh 6.2 and 6.15 pounds, and measure 18.5 and 20 inches long.
