Kamli Jura, MD, is a board-certified physician with Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Verde Valley Medical Clinic – Camp Verde. Dr. Jura will be joining the clinic beginning Monday, Aug. 5. She specializes in pediatric medicine.
Q: What is your care philosophy?
A: I listen and heal. I listen to the child, to the parents and to intuition.
Q: What do you want your patients to know about you?
A: I want them to know I care. I also learn from patients and their families; experiences, as well as books; conferences; and colleagues. Quality of care and ethics are also very important to me.
Q: What do you enjoy about being in the field of medicine?
A: Healing, learning, listening and integrating.
Q: Tell us about your specialty.
A: I want to have an impact on the lives of children. Healing children, and to be the part of the village raising each child, is my passion and intention.
Q: Does your scope of practice include holistic/integrative medicine?
A: Yes. I integrate with psychiatrists, social workers and pediatric specialists. I make sure there is a team in place to meet the child’s needs. I discuss the different approaches and options for treatment with the families and carefully consider their preferences in determining how to proceed with care.
Q: What are the areas of expertise and interest are you most excited about bringing to NAH?
A: I am interested in integration of different teams and approaches for pediatric care, preventive care and protocols ensuring quality care.
Q: What do patients tell you they appreciate about you?
A: That I’m caring, a good listener, have a big heart and my smile.
