Spine Surgery Pre-Op Class (Flagstaff)

Spine Surgery Pre-Op Class (Flagstaff)

FMC's spine surgeons highly recommend this class to better prepare patients and their families for upcoming surgery.

Patients are strongly encouraged to bring a friend or family member who will be their "coach" during the recovery process. Participants should review the Patient Education Guidebook they received from their surgeons or during the pre-admissions appointment before the class. Beverages will be served. This free class provides an opportunity to ask questions about the surgery and covers the following topics:

  • How to prepare for surgery
  • An overview of the hospital and patient experience
  • A guided tour of the Spine and Joint Surgery Center

Dates and Times

Every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (except Nov 22. due to holiday).

Meet at FMC's East Campus Main Lobby at the start times and a staff member will escort you to the Spine and Joint Surgery Center.

Patients who are not able to attend the seminar should review the following links below before arriving at FMC for their surgeries.

Spine surgery patients will receive a free guidebook from the Surgery Pre-Op Department. If you are unable to attend the pre-op class in person, a DVD is available in the pre-admissions department or you may view the pre-op class video below.

FMC's orthopedic surgeons highly recommend that spine patients watch this DVD to better prepare them and their families for their upcoming surgeries.
