Newborn Baby Care and Infant Massage
Newborn Baby Care and Infant Massage
Congratulations! You are expecting a baby and it is an exciting time. The members of our Childbirth Education team at Flagstaff Medical Center are here to help you and your family prepare for this experience. We offer a variety of classes and services to give you the information and assistance you will need for birth and beyond. Classes are taught by Labor and Delivery nurses and certified and specially trained healthcare professionals. Early registration is recommended, as classes fill up quickly.
For more information on all CBE classes, email Autumn Argent at Autumn.Argent@nahealth.com.
There’s so much to learn about caring for your new baby! This comprehensive three-hour class covers diapering, swaddling, infant safety, immunizations, cord and circumcision care, health concerns and car seat safety. Additionally, nurturing massage techniques, skin-to-skin care and using a sling will be taught to enrich your relationship with your baby. Infant massage can help relieve colic, stimulate digestion, strengthen the immune system, enhance growth and development and improve your baby's sleep patterns. Infant massage is also beneficial for babies who are born prematurely or who have special needs. Infant massage oil provided free of charge. This class is a “must” for all first-time parents.
We LOVE babies in our class! If you have already attended this class as an expecting parent, you are invited to attend again with your new baby free of charge. Have fun sharing your birth and parenting experiences with the other expecting and new parents in the class. Nurture your infant during the class with soothing infant massage techniques. Simply contact Childbirth Education at Autumn.Argent@nahealth.com or by cell phone at 480-458-7042 to register and make arrangements.
