Cancer Support Group

Receiving a cancer diagnosis often triggers a strong emotional response. Although some people experience shock, anger and disbelief; others may feel intense sadness, fear and a sense of loss. Loneliness and isolation are other common feelings because even the most supportive family members and friends cannot understand exactly how it feels to have cancer.

Meet with others who have experienced the journey you are on. Share their strength and hope with the intent to encourage and empower. Having cancer is a stressful experience. Support groups can help you cope with the emotional aspects by providing a safe place to share your feelings and challenges and learn from others who are facing similar situations.

If you are newly diagnosed with any type of cancer, or a survivor, this group is for you. We share information on treatments, medications, fears and triumphs. We also address the question: Where do we go from here?
